Lecturer in the Construction area at the University of Oviedo since 2021 and Director of the Sustainable Construction, Simulation, and Testing Research Group (GICONSIME), accredited by the AEI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She holds a PhD in Engineering from the same university, with the thesis <\/mark>\u201cNuevo sistema de empuje continuo de puentes: dise\u00f1o y an\u00e1lisis mediante simulaci\u00f3n num\u00e9rica<\/strong><\/mark><\/a>\u201d<\/em> (2013), supervised by Prof. Juan Jos\u00e9 del Coz D\u00edaz and Prof. Daniel Castro Fresno. She has an h-index of 13 in Scopus and has published 32 scientific articles, most of them in Q1 journals. Her research focuses on lightweight concrete and sustainable, resilient construction materials, combining advanced numerical models with experimental testing, with particular attention to optimizing porous materials, reducing CO\u2082 emissions, and incorporating phase-change materials into building elements. She leads projects such as LADEN+PCM and IDE\/2024\/000732 and has received the Beca Leonardo 2025 for the study of self-sensing lightweight concrete, consolidating GICONSIME\u2019s leadership at the national and international level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has managed over 60 knowledge transfer contracts, mobilizing a budget exceeding \u20ac380,000, and has supervised 3 doctoral theses, currently overseeing 4 more. Her teaching experience includes coordinating the Master\u2019s Degree in Industrial Engineering, lecturing in various engineering programs, and supervising more than 45 final projects, having been recognized with the Teaching Award from the \u201cC\u00e1tedra Milla del Conocimiento: Xix\u00f3n Sostenibilidad\u201d<\/em> for her contributions to sustainability education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her international experience includes stays at prestigious universities such as Purdue University and University College London, which have fostered global scientific collaborations and contributed to her current work on European funding proposals while maintaining the competitiveness and international projection of her research group.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
