Lecturer in the field of Construction Engineering at the University of Oviedo since 2002, and member of the GICONSIME research group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Oviedo (1993) and a PhD in Industrial Engineering (Environmental Technologies). The doctoral thesis, Dise\u00f1o y modelizaci\u00f3n de un equipo de tratamiento integral por intercambio i\u00f3nico de los efluentes de una planta de galvanizado<\/mark> <\/strong><\/a><\/em>1997, was supervised by Prof. Elena Mara\u00f1\u00f3n Maison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The academic career has been developed within the Department of Construction and Manufacturing Engineering, combining teaching and applied research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Research activity focuses on advanced structural analysis, numerical simulation using finite element methods (FEM), ergonomics, and sustainable construction. Additional work has addressed the treatment and reuse of industrial effluents, energy efficiency in buildings, and the analysis and rehabilitation of industrial heritage structures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This activity has resulted in scientific publications in international journals, participation in competitive research projects, and extensive collaboration with industry through applied research contracts, particularly in structural analysis, thermal and acoustic behaviour, and construction technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professional experience also includes technical consultancy and participation in engineering projects in collaboration with companies and public institutions, addressing real industrial and construction challenges through numerical modelling and engineering design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
