Lecturer in the field of Energy Engineering at the University of Oviedo since 2017, and Director of the Polytechnic School of Engineering of Gij\u00f3n since 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She holds a degree in Industrial Engineering (1996) and a PhD from the University of Oviedo (2004), with the dissertation <\/p>\n\n\n\n

PhD from the University of Oviedo with the thesis Modelizaci\u00f3n de condensadores de centrales t\u00e9rmicas mediante m\u00e9todos CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) y aplicaci\u00f3n a la predicci\u00f3n del<\/mark><\/em><\/a> <\/em><\/a><\/mark>ensuciamiento<\/mark><\/em><\/a> <\/mark><\/strong>(2004). Supervised by Prof. Mar\u00eda Manuela Prieto Gonz\u00e1lez, which was awarded the Extraordinary Doctorate Award in 2005.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her research career has been focused on the numerical modelling of thermal processes using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), initially applied to thermal power plants and industrial processes such as steel manufacturing. In recent years, her work has evolved towards energy efficiency in buildings, including the study of thermal envelopes, energy storage systems, and the integration of phase change materials (PCM) into advanced construction solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has developed a consistent scientific track record, with 20 indexed publications, an h-index of 11 in Scopus and over 300 citations. She has participated in more than 15 competitive research projects and several knowledge transfer contracts with industry, and has been awarded two recognised research periods (sexenios). She has also supervised three doctoral theses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2019, she has been a member of GICONSIME, contributing to the research line on materials for active building envelopes, and participating in national research projects focused on the experimental and numerical characterisation of materials with thermal storage capacity and CO\u2082 capture potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her teaching experience includes a strong involvement in doctoral programmes and specialised training in numerical modelling and energy efficiency in buildings, as well as extensive supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate final projects and doctoral theses.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
