Predoctoral FPU Researcher at the University of Oviedo and member of the Sustainable Construction, Simulation, and Testing Research Group (GICONSIME).
His research focuses on the mesoscale modelling of the mechanical, thermal, and hygrothermal behaviour of lightweight concretes. The numerical models developed are validated through experimental tests to ensure their accuracy and applicability.
He has participated in competitive research projects on the enhancement of lightweight concretes through the incorporation of nanoparticles, as well as in initiatives exploring the partial replacement of cement with a silica-rich mining by-product. He has also contributed to an industry-funded project involving the numerical and experimental study of the aerodynamic behaviour of passenger boarding bridges.
In the teaching field, he has delivered lectures and practical sessions in the subjects of Industrial Facilities and Theory of Structures and Industrial Constructions within the Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
