ACTIVITIES

TASK 1: MATERIAL FORMULATION AND CHARACTERIZATION
1.1 Mix design of lightweight concrete (LWC) with TiO₂ and ZnO nanoparticles.
1.2 Evaluation of workability, curing process, porosity, water absorption, mechanical properties.
1.3 Fire exposure tests and post-fire strength análisis

TASK 2: THERMAL AND CHEMICAL ANALYSIS
2.1 Thermal conductivity tests.
2.2 Thermogravimetric, thermomechanical, and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) tests.
2.3 Post-fire performance evaluation at elevated temperatures.

TASK 3: MICROSTRUCTURAL AND COMPOSITIONAL ANALYSIS
3.1 Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS).
3.2 Laser Ablation-Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (LA-ICPMS) for nanoparticle distribution.

TASK 4: NUMERICAL MODELLING
4.1 Development of mesoscale digital twins to simulate mechanical behavior.
4.2 Nano-indentation tests to support model calibration.

TASK 5: ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT
5.1 Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of adaptive envelopes made of LWC with nanoparticles.
5.2 Evaluation of CO₂ uptake and sustainability benefits.
